Henri d'Origny is one of the most iconic artists in the history of Hermès scarves — his compositions, all linked to the equestrian world and baroque ornamentation, are among the most collected and reissued in the house's catalog. "Le Mors À La Conétable" is the perfect illustration of this: created in 1970, this design depicts an ornate horse bit surrounded by monumental acanthus scrolls, fringed tassels, interwoven ribbons, and decorative elements directly inspired by French royal goldsmithery. The composition is of rare density and precision — every detail is sculpted, every plane carefully superimposed. In black and gold, it achieves its most formal and striking expression.
