The City, a bag born without pretension

Created in 2001 by Nicolas Ghesquière, then creative director of Balenciaga, the City — initially named "Motorcycle Bag" — was not even intended for sale: only 25 copies were produced as runway accessories. Without visible branding, made of lightly wrinkled lambskin, it became one of the most copied bags of the 2000s after being adopted by Kate Moss.
