A fashion house born in Florence in 1921
Guccio Gucci founded his fashion house in Florence in 1921, initially establishing a reputation for leather goods inspired by the equestrian world. This aesthetic is still evident today in the Horsebit detail and the green and red stripe. Two creative directors have since defined its recent history: Tom Ford, from 1994 to 2004, with a sensual and glamorous Gucci, and then Alessandro Michele, from 2015 to 2022, with a maximalist and retro style.

The Bamboo, launched in 1947, owes its lacquered bamboo handle to post-war leather shortages. The Jackie, a hobo bag associated with Jackie Kennedy in the 1960s, embodies understated elegance.
