The Hermès carré is one of the most identifiable accessories in fashion history. Since its creation in 1937, it has crossed decades remaining the piece of choice for women who know that the right accessory can transform everything. "À cheval sur mon carré" is a creation by Bali Barret, the Maison's artistic director, released in 2006. The motif is an exercise in mise en abyme: the horse — Hermès's tutelary figure since its saddlery origins — is here drawn from fragments of existing Hermès carrés, on a jacquard horseshoe background. A carré that speaks of carrés. A tribute to the Maison's heritage, dressed in an intense green color — emerald, anise, duck — of rare chromatic generosity.
