Anne Rosat is a Swiss artist specializing in the art of découpage — an ancestral technique that involves cutting shapes from colored paper to create compositions of remarkable delicacy and precision. In 1997, Hermès noticed her work and commissioned a carré: the result is "Découpages", a composition of oriental gardens inspired by Persian illumination and traditional cut-outs, with its monumental flowers, stylized trees, characters, and animals. The palette is sumptuous — red, green, blue, yellow on an ivory background, with the characteristic orange border of the house. The piece has become a collector's item.
