The Baguette was launched by Fendi in 1997 under the impetus of Silvia Venturini Fendi — the first fashion bag to become a true cultural phenomenon, worn under the arm like a baguette, hence its name. In an era when the logo was king and the bag an assumed social marker, the Zucchino Baguette perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the moment: the fine and light jacquard canvas with interwoven FF monograms, worn with calculated nonchalance. Twenty-five years after its launch, it has made a strong comeback in the house's recent collections — proof that some silhouettes do not age.
