Description & history

Harness, bridles and saddlery elements on a dark background, in a black-green-red-yellow palette — this vintage Céline silk square is a strong graphic piece, in the tradition of large equestrian squares of Parisian luxury.

The saddlery motif is one of the great classics of French luxury scarves — a visual language borrowed from the equestrian world, made of intertwined harnesses, bridles and metal buckles, which structures the surface of the square with an almost architectural precision. At Céline, this style takes a particularly graphic turn: the colors are bold, the contrasts strong, the composition dense without ever being cluttered. This vintage model embodies this balance — deep black, intense green, red and touches of yellow that articulate on the surface like a luxurious wallpaper pattern.

The silk — 100%, made in Italy — gives the square its characteristic drape and amplifies the richness of the colors.
