The Dionysus is Alessandro Michele's flagship creation for Gucci since he became creative director in 2015. Its clasp in the shape of two facing tiger heads — a direct reference to the Greek god Dionysus, often depicted accompanied by felines — has become in a few seasons one of the most recognizable pieces of hardware in contemporary luxury. The Wallet on Chain (WOC) is the most compact format in the collection: a structured wallet with card slots and a coin pocket, to which a chain is added for shoulder or cross-body wear. The GG Supreme canvas — beige ebony, coated, durable — is here in its most neutral and versatile color. The matte silver hardware with its natural aged effect is characteristic of the Dionysus style, which advocates a patinated and antiquing luxury.
