Description & History
This king blue Goyard Plumet Pocket Wallet is the most elegant and versatile version of the trio — where yellow brightens and orange asserts itself, king blue matches everything and stands the test of time. A deep blue, matching trim, silver-tone hardware: understated and immediately recognizable.
Maison Goyard was founded in 1853 at 233 rue Saint-Honoré in Paris — an address etched in the history of French luxury and printed on each piece, including this Plumet. With over 170 years of existence, Goyard is one of the few French houses still independent: it does no advertising, signs no muses, and voluntarily limits its distribution. The Goyardine canvas — a hand-painted Y chevron pattern in a superposition of three colors on coated cotton — is an artisanal technique unchanged since the 19th century. In king blue, the white chevron and dark outlines create a powerful graphic contrast that effortlessly catches the eye.
The Plumet Pocket Wallet is a hybrid format between a bag and a wallet — ultra-flat at 0.5 cm thick, with an organized main compartment (card slots, zippered pocket, bill compartment) and a back slip pocket for immediate phone access. Retail price ~1,340 USD / ~1,200 EUR. A silver-tone crossbody chain (not original Goyard) is included for crossbody wear.
Very good overall condition. Impeccable canvas and interior. Sold with Rarr Vintage dustbag — a king blue Goyard Plumet for every day and every occasion.
