The Louis Vuitton Portefeuille Comète in taupe Taurillon leather is one of the house's most understated and refined pieces — no monogram, a neutral and soft color, discreet silver hardware: luxury in its purest form, for those who know.

Taurillon leather is one of the most precious leathers in the Louis Vuitton repertoire. Made from vegetable tanning, it is characterized by its naturally slightly textured grain, its exceptionally soft touch, and its remarkable robustness — it gains suppleness and character over time without ever degrading. The silver-embossed "Louis Vuitton Paris" inscription on the front signs the piece with the absolute sobriety that distinguishes these models from the Taurillon line.

Its three-quarter zip opening allows wide and easy access to all compartments. The diamond-shaped pull, adorned with leather and silver hardware, is the signature detail of the Comète model. The smooth taupe leather interior offers numerous card slots and pockets — including a separate zipped coin pocket — with undehydrated slots in very good condition.

In very good overall condition, the Taurillon leather is clean, soft, and flawless. The corners are intact, with no rubbing. Very slight previous signs of use on the interior — the piece has clearly been used little and well. Made in France, dated 2016, sold with original Louis Vuitton box and dustbag — an exceptional and rare full set at this level of quality.
