Description & history

The Chloé Paraty Medium in khaki grained leather is one of the most iconic it-bags of the 2000s — its unique trapezoidal silhouette, generous gold-tone hardware, and supple leather made it a cult piece from its launch.

Launched in 2009 by Hannah MacGibbon for Chloé, the Paraty takes its name from the Brazilian city of Paraty. Its immediately recognizable architectural design — brass rings, structured handles, flared base — earned it a place in major fashion editorials and in the hands of the it-girls of the era. A true collector's item.

This Medium model in khaki grained leather offers a generous capacity ideal for everyday use: notebook, Kindle, cosmetic bag, continental wallet, and phone fit comfortably. The removable shoulder strap allows for adjustable crossbody wear in addition to hand or shoulder carry.

In good overall condition, the grained leather is clean and supple, the corners are intact and without rubbing. The brass hardware is in good condition. The interior in brown cotton twill lining is clean with slight signs of prior use, without major flaws. Made in Italy — a vintage Chloé piece to acquire without hesitation.
