The Starball clasp — this shiny golden ball that unscrews to open the flap — is one of the most iconic and sought-after signatures of Céline leather goods from the 1980s–1990s. More immediate than any monogram, it instantly identifies the piece for those familiar with the brand. On this Macadam canvas satchel, it stands out with perfect clarity: the dark brown interlocking circle pattern, the caramel brown leather that borders all the seams, the rounded flap closed by this golden button. The Macadam canvas is Céline's historic monogram — created in the 1970s, discontinued in the 2000s, it is now at the heart of a serious revaluation by enthusiasts of French vintage fashion. Made in Italy circa 1994, this example is in nice condition for its age.
