The Macadam canvas is one of Céline's most discreet and precious legacies. Created in the 1970s and actively produced in the 1980s–1990s, this coated canvas with its characteristic intertwined circles is now experiencing a resurgence of interest among collectors of vintage French fashion. In its Bucket Bag version, the Macadam achieves maximum versatility: the flexible bucket silhouette adapts, the adjustable shoulder strap frees up hands, and the side zippered pocket organizes. The embossed Triomphe blazon on the front – Céline's equestrian signature before Hedi Slimane's double C – recalls the house's roots in the world of horses and leather, long before fashion embraced it. Made in Italy, serial number M09*, this example carries all the warmth of pieces from that period.
