This Céline Paris wallet in caramel Triomphe monogram canvas is a piece of small leather goods with a sober and immediate elegance — flat in a pocket, barely 0.5 cm thick, with the gold-toned Triomphe swivel clasp stamped "Céline" at the center of the flap as its only adornment. The Triomphe monogram is the foundational motif of the house of Céline — created in 1973 by Céline Vipiana, inspired by the links of the chain surrounding the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, it became the emblem of the house's accessory production for two decades. Gradually forgotten after LVMH acquired the house in 1996, it was resurrected in 2018 by Hedi Slimane under the name "Triomphe" — triggering a worldwide frenzy that boosted the value of original vintage pieces. This wallet, with its Triomphe monogram on caramel canvas, is one of those original pieces — long before anyone was talking about it.

The gold-toned swivel clasp stamped "Céline" is one of the most distinctive and sought-after details of vintage Céline small leather goods — this turn-lock clasp, found on the house's bags, pouches, and accessories from the 70s to the 90s, is both a functional and ornamental signature.
