The Return to Tiffany collection originated in the late 1960s when Tiffany & Co. first released keyrings engraved with "Please Return to Tiffany & Co. New York"—each assigned a unique serial number and registered with the house, so that any lost item could be returned to the 727 Fifth Avenue boutique and reunited with its owner. From this functional object, years later, one of Tiffany's most iconic jewelry collections was born: the signature heart, engraved with the same inscription, subsequently declined into bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings, in silver, gold, with or without diamonds. This Mini Double Heart pendant embodies its most contemporary and desirable version—two small hearts suspended from a delicate chain, one faithful to the original engraved silver aesthetic, the other adorned with a pastel pink enamel that adds that pop of color so characteristic of the collection's recent lines. The mini format, particularly delicate, makes it an everyday piece: to be worn alone for its delicate design, or stacked with other finer or thicker chains in the layered style that dominates contemporary jewelry.
