A Fendi Mama Baguette in navy and grey Zucchino canvas, 2000s · the practical big sister of the icon · for those who want the FF monogram without sacrificing capacity.
The Baguette was launched by Fendi in 1997 under the impetus of Silvia Venturini Fendi — the first handbag to become a mass cultural phenomenon, carried under the arm like a baguette of bread, hence its name. The Mama Baguette is its large-format version: same trapezoidal silhouette, same FF buckle flap, same Fendi DNA, but in a size designed for everyday use. The Zucchino canvas — from the Italian word for squash, referring to the shape of the repeated double F — has been one of the house's most recognizable signatures since the 1960s, reinterpreted each decade in new colorways.
