A 1990 Louis Vuitton Keepall 45 · Monogram canvas, patinated honey Vachetta, gold padlock · the House's most iconic travel bag in its cabin-compatible size, complete with original papers and dustbag.

The Keepall was introduced by Louis Vuitton in the 1930s to meet a simple need: a flexible, lightweight bag capable of holding the essentials for a short trip without the constraints of a rigid trunk. The Keepall 45 is the compact size in the range — designed to fit in a cabin, for travel without checking luggage. Made from coated Monogram canvas and natural Vachetta leather, it ages gracefully: the canvas remains clean, the leather gradually patinates from light beige to amber honey, developing a character that new pieces will never have. Thirty years after its manufacture, a well-maintained Keepall is a more desirable piece than on its first day.

This item bears the date code SP****, confirming manufacture in 1990. Clean Monogram canvas with no stains. Light honey Vachetta, even and uniform patina. Light rubbing on handles and corners, light cracking on leather trim — signs of age consistent with 30 years of existence, visible in the photos, with no major impact.
