The Alma is one of Louis Vuitton's most iconic silhouettes. Created in 1934 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton with a strong Art Deco spirit, it is one of the few bags from the house that does not need a monogram to be recognized: its domed shape is enough. In Monogram canvas, it achieves additional readability and elegance — the house's most iconic canvas on the most architectural shape in its catalog. The Alma PM is the most versatile format in the range: large enough to hold the essentials of a busy day, compact enough to remain elegant when carried by hand or at the crook of the elbow. Manufactured in France in 2001, this example has developed a beautiful light and even Vachetta patina on the handles, base and strips — the sign of a bag carried regularly and carefully maintained for over twenty years.
