Créé à la fin des années 1950 sous le nom de Constance, ce hobo à la silhouette souple et arrondie doit son surnom actuel à Jackie Kennedy, qui l'a porté avec une telle constance dans les années 1960 — dissimulant volontiers son visage derrière le rabat lorsqu'elle croisait les paparazzi — qu'il en a pris le nom pour la postérité. Le Jackie est depuis lors l'un des sacs signatures de la maison Gucci, réédité et réinterprété au fil des décennies dans d'innombrables versions, chacune préservant les deux marqueurs immuables du modèle : la silhouette hobo à croissant et le fermoir piston à mécanisme apparent, l'un des systèmes de fermeture les plus reconnaissables de l'histoire du sac de luxe. Cet exemplaire en incarne une déclinaison particulièrement rare et collector : un cuir souple noir travaillé en matelassage chevron qui capte la lumière à chaque pli, une chaîne dorée à maillons rectangulaires façon trombone qui remplace la traditionnelle anse cuir et signe une esthétique nettement plus bijou, plus soir, plus statement. Un Jackie qui joue autant le rôle de sac que celui d'accessoire couture, à porter aussi bien de jour sur un tailleur qu'en pièce forte sur une petite robe noire.
