Description & history
The Alma is one of Louis Vuitton's most iconic models, inspired by the brand's travel trunks and launched in the 1930s. This PM in black epi leather, dated 1999 and made in France, is a particularly elegant and timeless embodiment of it.
The epi leather, recognizable by its characteristic diagonal ridges, gives the bag a sophisticated texture and great resistance to wear. The black smooth leather handles are clean and in good condition, the double gold-tone rings ensure a solid hold. The LV monogram is discreetly embossed on the front corner of the bag.
The grey suede interior is clean with light signs of prior use. The interior slip pocket houses the date code. The zipper is functional, and the bag is sold complete with its padlock and key — a real plus for this vintage version. The gold-tone hardware shows slight fading in places, consistent with grade B.
