Dessiné en 1934 par Gaston-Louis Vuitton, l'Alma est l'un des rares sacs de la maison à avoir traversé les décennies sans jamais quitter le catalogue. Sa silhouette en dôme structuré, ses poignées Toron cousues main et son double zip laiton en font une pièce à la fois architecturale et intemporelle. Le cuir Épi, introduit chez Louis Vuitton en 1985 et inspiré des cuirs teintés que la maison utilisait dès la fin du XIXe siècle, apporte à ce modèle un caractère graphique unique : son grain fin, régulier et strié résiste remarquablement au temps. Cet exemplaire fabriqué en France en 1996 arbore le Cipango Gold, coloris retiré de la collection — un caramel doré chaud, à mi-chemin entre le miel et le bronze, particulièrement rare sur l'Épi et devenu très recherché des collectionneuses. En très bon état général, avec un simple frottement discret aux coins, il conserve toute sa tenue et sa désirabilité.
