Gucci s'est lancé dans l'horlogerie suisse au début des années 1970, en installant sa production à La Chaux-de-Fonds. De cette rencontre entre le savoir-faire helvétique et le vocabulaire ornemental florentin sont nées des montres qui n'ont jamais tout à fait choisi entre la joaillerie et l'instrument : des boîtiers minuscules, des bracelets joncs ou à maillons, des lignes géométriques. La 1900L appartient pleinement à cette famille — un carré d'acier posé sur un jonc rigide, sans fioriture, où toute l'allure tient dans la justesse des proportions.

Celle-ci se présente en acier inoxydable, avec un cadran blanc dépouillé où seuls le nom de la maison et la mention Swiss Made viennent ponctuer la surface. Le boîtier de 19 mm est protégé par un verre saphir, et le fond gravé rappelle l'ensemble des spécifications : Gucci, 1900L, Swiss Made, Stainless Steel, Sapphire Crystal, Water Resistant 3 ATM. Le bracelet jonc mesure environ 15,5 cm et conviendra à un poignet allant jusqu'à 16,5 cm. La montre est en état de marche.
