From saddlery to leather goods
Thierry Hermès opened his harness workshop in Paris in 1837. The saddlery expertise, with its signature stitching and leathers, can still be found today in every bag from the house. In 1923, Hermès created the Bolide, one of the first bags with a zipper in France.
