The Pochette Twin belongs to the family of small, flat styles that Louis Vuitton popularized at the turn of the 2000s, an era defined by elongated, close-to-the-body silhouettes. It is constructed like an envelope: a flat body in Monogram coated canvas, a flap covering two-thirds of the front, and natural Vachetta leather piping defining every edge. This untreated leather has developed a lovely, uniform honey-colored patina.
Its greatest strength is its modularity. The leather shoulder strap clips on for shoulder or crossbody wear, and removes in an instant to transform the piece into an evening clutch. The closure features a crisp, silent magnetic snap button. The GM size fits a phone, a slim card holder, and a lipstick—the essentials, nothing more.
