In the 1990s, Fendi was at the height of its creative power — with Karl Lagerfeld as artistic director since 1965, the Roman house produced jewelry and accessories collections of assumed opulence, combining Italian goldsmith expertise and decorative audacity. These clip-on earrings are the perfect expression of this: shiny black lacquered enamel, faceted crystal set in the center, carved gold leaf frame — a luxurious and immediately recognizable composition. The secure clip mechanism is characteristic of couture jewelry of this period, designed to hold without piercing with a hold worthy of a post earring. Made in Italy, signature engraved on the back.
