The Paraty is one of the bags that defined the Chloé identity in the 2010s. Introduced under the creative direction of Hannah MacGibbon, it embodies that fine balance between casualness and sophistication that the Parisian house has always sought. Its silhouette is recognizable at first glance: a supple body that sags slightly under its own weight, a front flap that creates a play of volumes, and those sculpted gold-tone brass links that connect the handles to the body of the bag with an almost jewelry-like allure.
This example is in grained cognac leather, the color that most marked the history of the model. Cognac is a warm, amber shade that enriches with time and use — each cognac Paraty ages differently and develops its own character. The leather here is clean and in good condition, with slight signs of previous use. There is light rubbing on the corners and a discreet stain under the bag, visible in the photos.
The aged gold-effect brass hardware is a deliberate design choice: the patina is not a defect but an intention of the house, which gives the bag that lived-in look from the moment it leaves the workshop. The links, snap hooks, and closures carry this matte, warm finish that distinguishes the Paraty from bags with shiny hardware. The bag can be carried in three ways — by hand using the handles, over the shoulder, or crossbody thanks to the detachable strap — and its volume accommodates an iPad tablet, cosmetic pouch, continental wallet, phone, and glasses case.
