The Paraty was designed by Hannah MacGibbon in 2010 and immediately established itself as one of Chloé's signature bags alongside the Paddington and the Marcie. Its language relies on three elements: a supple structure that deforms slightly with use, two short handles extended by massive gold links — the model's immediately recognizable visual signature — and a flat base that gives the bag its volume when set down. There is nothing excessive in the decoration: the leather speaks for itself, the links punctuate the silhouette without overloading it, and the object can be read from a distance without any visible logo.
This version in caramel grained leather has a slightly shiny effect that catches the light — a deep autumnal shade, one of the most sought-after in the line, which pairs just as well with warm seasonal tones as it does with denim and neutral basics. The small format at 30 × 20 × 13 cm is the perfect balance: generous enough to handle a day out — phone, compact wallet, passport, glasses case, AirPods, keys, lipstick — without ever appearing bulky. It can be carried by hand for lunch, on the shoulder for the day, or as a hands-free crossbody thanks to the detachable and adjustable shoulder strap — three uses in one item, which explains the model's longevity on the second-hand market.
The piece is in good overall condition. The grained leather is clean, with light rubbing on the handles and corners (see photos), consistent with the life of a well-worn and maintained bag. The gold-tone brass hardware shows a patina consistent with age, without damage. No major defects to report. The interior, lined in cotton twill, is in good condition with a small mark visible in the photo; the zip pocket works normally.
