The dome shape is one of the most reliable formats in the wardrobe: flat base, rounded sides, zip following the curve of the top. The bag stands on its own, does not collapse when half-empty, and maintains a clean silhouette whether placed on a table or worn on the arm. The construction here is black grained leather, a marked and supple grain that absorbs micro-scratches much better than smooth leather.
The gold-tone hardware punctuates the whole without weighing it down: round rings at the handle attachments, double sliders, and the Interlocking GG charm suspended on the side, the only visible reminder of the house. The intertwined GG logo is one of Gucci's historic signatures, derived from the initials of its founder Guccio Gucci; used here as a pendant rather than a print, it lets the leather take center stage.
The two round handles allow for hand or elbow carry, and the provided shoulder strap transforms the bag into a crossbody for days when your hands need to be free.
