The Galleria is the bag that defines Prada. Its name comes from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan, where Mario Prada opened his first boutique in 1913. The production of each piece requires 83 distinct components, assembled through a process that blends industrial precision with artisanal gestures impossible to mechanize. The result is a bag with clean lines, structured without being rigid, and pragmatic without being austere — a design vocabulary that summarizes the Prada vision: function serving elegance.
Saffiano leather is a calf leather treated with a process patented by Mario Prada himself, which imprints a characteristic cross-hatch texture into the material. This treatment makes the leather scratch and water resistant — an impeccably logical choice for a bag intended for daily use. In cinnamon, it takes on a warm, neutral tone, highlighted by white piping on the edges that defines the bag's contours and adds a graphic accent. The silver-toned metal Prada Milano triangular plaque is placed on the front.
The interior is divided into three compartments: two zippered on either side and one open central one. This organization allows for the natural separation of daily essentials — compact wallet, phone, glasses case, lipstick, keys, passport, and AirPods — without adding extra pouches.
