Il y a chez Tiffany & Co. une manière très américaine de faire du bijou : peu de matière précieuse, beaucoup de dessin. L'argent y a le même statut que l'or ailleurs, et les formes sont réduites à leur plus simple expression — un cœur, une plaque, un maillon. Ce bracelet en est l'illustration exacte : une chaîne à maillons ronds, épais et polis, et un seul médaillon en forme de cœur suspendu. Rien d'autre.

C'est cette économie qui en fait un classique.
