The Single Flap is one of the most enduring silhouettes in the Chanel wardrobe, a direct heir to the 2.55 imagined by Gabrielle Chanel in 1955. The CC turnlock clasp, introduced by Karl Lagerfeld in the early 1980s, and the leather and metal interwoven chain are its instantly recognizable signatures. On this model, the quilting adopts a chevron stitch — a V-shaped diagonal that deviates from the usual diamond quilting for a more graphic interpretation, a variation that the house offered in several collections, particularly around 2015-2016. The Single Flap version, thinner than the Double Flap, maintains a sleek silhouette while retaining the hidden compartment under the flap.
