Description & histoire

Un collier Céline en métal plaqué or · maillons allongés ajourés du motif Triomphe · plaquage uniforme · Made in Italy inscrit au fermoir · longueur 64 cm · grade B+.

On connaît Céline pour ses sacs et ses toiles ; on oublie que la maison a longtemps édité des bijoux, aujourd'hui bien plus rares à trouver. Ce collier en est un bel exemple. Le motif Triomphe — cette chaîne inspirée des arceaux de l'Arc de Triomphe, à deux pas duquel la maison avait sa boutique — n'y est pas appliqué comme un logo rapporté : il est ajouré dans la matière même des maillons. Le signe et l'objet ne font qu'un.

Le dessin joue sur une alternance : des maillons allongés, plats et ajourés du motif, reliés par des maillons ouverts plus simples. Ce rythme donne à la chaîne sa souplesse et son mouvement, tout en lui laissant une vraie présence — c'est un collier qui se suffit à lui-même, sans pendentif, et qui se remarque de loin sans jamais crier. Le métal est plaqué or, avec un plaquage resté uniforme sur toute la longueur, et la mention Made in Italy figure au niveau du fermoir.

Ses 64 cm en font une longueur très libre : porté tel quel, il tombe joliment sur un pull fin, une chemise ouverte ou une robe unie ; doublé, il se transforme en tour de cou court et plus dense. Deux bijoux en un, selon l'humeur.
