Un collier Christian Dior en métal plaqué or · pendentif ovale au logo Dior cerclé de strass transparents · chaîne fine ajustable de 36 à 41,5 cm · fermoir mousqueton · pendentif 1,8 cm · poinçon sur la breloque.

Christian Dior n'a jamais eu besoin d'un monogramme abstrait : la maison a fait de sa propre signature son emblème. Le mot « Dior », calligraphié dans cette graisse fine et légèrement penchée qui n'a pas bougé depuis 1947, fonctionne comme un logo à part entière — on le lit et on le reconnaît dans le même mouvement. C'est plus direct qu'un chiffre entrelacé, et plus élégant qu'une initiale seule.

Ce collier en fait son unique motif. Le nom est ajouré dans le métal doré, découpé lettre par lettre, et posé au centre d'un médaillon ovale ; tout autour, une couronne de strass transparents sertis un à un vient l'encadrer et accrocher la lumière. Le fond est laissé ouvert, ce qui allège le pendentif et laisse voir la peau à travers — un détail qui change tout à la façon dont le bijou se porte.

La chaîne, fine et souple, est ajustable de 36 à 41,5 cm. Réglée au plus court, elle place le pendentif ras du cou, façon collier de jour ; allongée, elle le laisse descendre juste sous la clavicule, plus habillé. Le fermoir mousqueton s'ouvre d'une main, et une petite breloque en bout de chaîne porte le poinçon de la maison. Le plaquage or est resté parfaitement uniforme, sans zone d'usure ni ternissement — ce qui est rare sur un bijou de cette nature.
