Depuis les débuts de la maison, Christian Dior fait du foulard bien plus qu'un simple accessoire : une pièce de couture miniature, pensée comme un tableau, où chaque motif raconte une part de l'imaginaire de la maison. Cet exemplaire déploie sur son fond rose fuchsia un jeu d'entrelacs de chaînes gourmettes, de cordages tressés, de médaillons ciselés, de cœurs et de monogrammes CD — un vocabulaire ornemental qui puise dans la joaillerie et la passementerie, deux univers que la maison n'a jamais cessé de cultiver.
