Since the house's beginnings, Christian Dior has made the scarf much more than a simple accessory: a miniature couture piece, conceived as a painting, where each motif tells a part of the house's imagination. This example unfolds a play of intertwined curb chains, braided ropes, chiseled medallions, hearts, and CD monograms on its fuchsia pink background — an ornamental vocabulary drawing from jewelry and passementerie, two universes that the house has always cultivated. The choice of cotton, more matte and fluid than silk, makes it an everyday piece: to tie in the hair 90s style, slipped around the neck in the opening of a white shirt, wrapped around the handle of a bag, or worn as a belt with jeans.
