This vintage Givenchy bracelet in matte gold-plated metal is a sculptural piece like no other — its large twisted links, connected by spiraling filigree elements, and its toggle clasp with a bar and ring create an architectural ensemble that makes a statement on the wrist with the quiet confidence of the couturier who dressed Audrey Hepburn.
Founded in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy, the house quickly developed jewelry in its own image — architectural, understated, and executed with a quality comparable to Chanel or Dior. In the 1980s, under Givenchy's own direction, the house's jewelry reached its peak in volume and character: massive links, matte brushed gold finishes, three-dimensional sculpted designs. The quality of Givenchy pieces from the 80s is comparable to that of Chanel or Dior from the same era — at prices that have not yet caught up, making them one of the best investments in today's vintage market.
