Le Macadam est l'un des monogrammes les plus anciens de Céline, dessiné dans les années 70 à partir d'un motif géométrique qui joue sur le double C imbriqué. Longtemps resté dans l'ombre du Triomphe, il connaît depuis quelques années une seconde vie évidente : Hedi Slimane l'a remis au premier plan dès son arrivée chez la maison, et le marché de la seconde main suit — les pièces d'époque, en particulier celles produites en Italie dans les années 90 et 2000, sont aujourd'hui parmi les plus recherchées du vintage Céline. Cette silhouette de sac seau en est une déclinaison typique : structure souple qui prend la forme de ce qu'on y glisse, lien coulissant en cuir pour fermer l'ouverture, écusson Céline apposé sur le corps du sac, base en cuir caramel qui donne la stabilité au volume.

C'est ici la version grand format — 34 × 29 × 12 cm, une hauteur qui change complètement l'usage. Là où les buckets Macadam de format moyen se limitent à l'essentiel, celui-ci absorbe une vraie journée : trousse cosmétique, téléphone, portefeuille compact, étui à lunettes, agenda ou petit iPad. C'est le sac qu'on prend pour aller travailler, pour voyager en ville, pour partir en week-end court. La bandoulière en cuir caramel, ajustable jusqu'à 114 cm, permet le double port : réglée courte, elle passe à l'épaule ; réglée longue, elle bascule le sac en crossbody mains libres, particulièrement adapté à un format de cette taille qu'on ne veut pas tenir à la main toute la journée. Le cuir des finitions, de la bandoulière et de l'écusson a viré à une patine homogène qu'on ne retrouve que sur les Céline Macadam ayant vécu — une teinte miel-tabac que Céline ne fabrique plus aujourd'hui.

La pièce est en bon état général. La toile Macadam est propre et sans défaut, le cuir caramel présente une jolie patine homogène, et le dessous du sac reste propre. On relève des frottements au niveau des coins (voir photos), cohérents avec la vie d'une pièce vintage, et une patine sur la bijouterie dorée qui participe au caractère de l'objet. L'intérieur est spacieux, en bon état avec des signes d'utilisation antérieure, sans défauts majeurs à signaler.
