Nina Ricci holds a special place in Parisian fashion: that of a house that never sought the limelight. Founded in 1932, it built its reputation on a classic femininity, defined by precision rather than impact. Its jewelry follows the same philosophy—they accompany, precisely, without ever seeking to take up all the space.
These earrings are a good illustration. The motif is floral, but stylized: three red glass cabochons, cut in smooth domes rather than facets, arranged like petals in a gold-tone frame. This antique cut changes everything about the final effect—the light does not bounce off the stone, it circulates within it, which gives the red a depth that a faceted stone would lack. The contrast with the gold does the rest.
Below the flower, a polished gold-tone bead is suspended. This is the detail that makes the difference: it moves with every turn of the head and catches the light with every step, which prevents the jewelry from being a simple appliqué on the ear. At 3 cm, the set has a real presence, and yet the earrings remain lightweight—which really matters for a dangling style, where the weight can be felt after a few hours.
