Designed in the 1970s, the Macadam canvas is the first signature monogram of the house of Céline — a subtle mesh of interlocking rings that recalls the brand's equestrian and bourgeois origins. This small crossbody embodies all the codes of the house: chocolate brown coated canvas enhanced by smooth caramel leather, the central Triomphe embossed crest — this heraldic silhouette inspired by the Porte des Chevaux of the Arc de Triomphe, chosen by Céline Vipiana in 1971 to become the definitive emblem of the house. The crossbody format, both compact and functional, makes it an ideal hands-free piece for everyday use: an adjustable 120 cm long shoulder strap, two gusseted compartments inside, a zip pocket for essentials.
